Previous world No. 9 Nicolas Almagro said playing Roger Federer was "an alternate encounter" from playing against some other rival.

Almagro, who resigned from proficient tennis in 2019, played against Federer multiple times.

Federer won every one of those five gatherings. "Playing against Federer is an alternate encounter from confronting some other player. 

With Roger, you have the inclination consistently that he is playing with you, that he is playing what he needs consistently," Almagro told Eurosport Espana.

Then, Federer won their next two gatherings in straight sets.

 In the fifth and last gathering - which came at the 2007 Cincinnati Experts - Federer crushed Almagro 6-3 3-6 6-2.

It's a piece amazing that Federer and Almagro had no gatherings after the 2007 season.
